Pygmy Copperhead
They Pygmy Copperhead is a pale brown to a dark grey with or without a dark spinal line. A dark bar is often across their neck on their 4-5 scales that lie there. They live on Kangaroo Island, the Mount Lofty Ranges and the lower part of the Fleurieu Peninsula. They live in many different habitats on Kangaroo Island like samphire plains, coastal dunes, agricultural areas and woodlands. The Pygmy Copperhead that live on the mainland live in high-altitude areas with stringybark forests and dense undergrowth.
