Lowlands Copperhead
Its colour can be shades of brown, reddish brown and grey darkening to almost black. They sometimes have a dark or pale band across its neck and a dark vertebral stripe. Its lower flanks are pale (cream to yellow on paler snakes, pink to orange on darker snakes). The largest specimens are usually found on King Island in the Bass Strait.
