Dugite
They generally have 19 body scale rows. It is most often brown turning olive-brown with pale or a dark black. The juveniles have a black head and neck. The more inland you go the bigger they get. Their bellies are a brown maybe a greyish-white. They are widespread through most habitats like semi-arid woodlands, coastal sand dunes and up in the mainland. They are found on Rottnest Island of the coat of Fremantle. The mainland snakes will eat small mammals while the adults on islands will eat mainly skinks. When threatened they will rear in an S-shape.
